Hello my friend -

To me, there is nothing as rejuvenating as the first "real" day of Spring -- feeling the warm sunshine on my face; experiencing the colorful, fragrant  flowers; wearing my new Spring clothes!  Since Spring is all about the reawakening of nature's beauty, this month's tips focus on reveling in our own feminine beauty.  Enjoy!

April Fashion Tip

Pretty Is, As Pretty Does!

This season is all about softening the edges and celebrating femininty -- so add a little "pretty" to your wardrobe!  Nothing says feminine quite like a flattering dress -- and this is the season of the dress!  Whether your personal style favors the classic sheath or a drapy one-shoulder number or a casual sundress -- it's your for the taking!  For that extra soft touch, opt for that dress in a lovely pastel, bold floral or soft print.  You'll never look lovelier!

April Optical Illusion Tip

You Long-Legged Beauty 2!

Last month's tip was about using pants to create the illusion of long legs, but what's a girl to do when the leg is completely exposed in a dress?  Easy -- pick the right shoes!  Certain styles of shoes can optically lengthen (or shorten) your leg by 3"-5"!  To make your legs appear longer, opt for pointier-toed shoes with a lower vamp (the upper part of the shoe).  This will expose more foot and thus make it appear that your legs go on forever.  If your ankles are thicker, this will help give the appearance of a longer, thinner leg.  Shoes with a high vamp or an ankle strap optically cut the vertical line of the leg and cause the eye to look horizontally.  This will make your legs appear shorter and fuller.  The color of your shoe can also make a difference.  Nude or metallics that reflect the color of the skin, can optically add another 1"-2" of length.  So when you put on that dress, remember to pick the right shoes!
